Dear “Alice” Friends,
What a wild ride we had! Alice – The Looking Glass Girl was great fun. Kids and parents alike continue to quote from songs and dialogue in the show. It fills my heart with joy! Red Queen will rock on every time we wear our shirts. Never again will I drink tea or think of knights in the same way again. The Jabberwock continues to be any dark thing that threatens the spiritual or physical health of me or my family. And though I’ve always been this way, I have a renewed respect for tiny creatures like caterpillars and butterflies.
I hope that some of the themes of the show have worked their way into your thinking. Remember our show scripture: “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (fear), but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline” 2 Timothy 1:7. Each place or character Alice visited had a lesson to teach: contentment, discerning what is true or right, not hiding away from the world but being a shining light in it, standing up against evil or dark things, conquering fear, loving and appreciating your family, and being yourself.
Thank you, thank you from the depths of my heart for your participation in the show. It was a success because we all worked together. Every great or small task was so very valuable. So many students and parents have told me what a feeling useful -- making lots of friends -- plenty of stage time show this was. It will always be a treasured memory, and I hope it is for you too.
Blessings & peace,
Lori Ryan
